PRINTING AND EDITING

Thinking of Viva Voce Presentation
This week, I focused on finalizing my table setup for the viva voce. Compared to the plan from last week, a few changes were made — I decided to add another screen to demonstrate my interface, while the MacBook would be used to display the Catalogue of Making website, which documents the design process behind the interface and short film in more detail.
I struggled a lot with how to use the external materials I had, like wood and acrylic, to present my work in a way that would not look flat. In the end, I decided to print another small publication, acting as a project overview and summarizing the interface process — almost like a mini version of the Catalogue of Making. Since this was a last-minute addition, I do wish I had more time to refine the layout and design details.
I also spent time refining my website for the Catalogue of Making, adjusting the layout from the previous semester. It needed to visually match the style of my CPJ, prints, and video works, so that everything would feel more cohesive when presented together.

Final Words
Working on this project over the past year has been one of the hardest challenges I have ever faced. There were many different paths I could have taken, and plenty of missteps along the way. It was a long and sometimes uncertain journey, filled with ups and downs, and many moments of indecision when working independently. Even so, I am proud of the outcomes I have created. I would be lying if I said I was fully satisfied with everything, but I know this is part of the process — something to reflect on and improve in my future practice.
The final outcome, created through the workflow I built, captures how far I have come. The memories generated are beautiful in their own way, even if they are not perfectly accurate or polished. There are still many possibilities I could have explored and improvements I could have made, especially in the design of the prints, video documentation, and the CPJ itself. But I am grateful that I was able to bring all of this together in the end.
Lastly, I would like to sincerely thank my supervisor, Andreas, for guiding us throughout the year, for listening to us every week, and for inspiring me in his own way. I would also like to thank my peers — every discussion we had was meaningful, and their energy made the studio experience truly memorable. As for the next step... well, wish me luck for the viva voce, because honestly, I am dying inside already. Thank you!
